Friday 25th July: Norfolk Arms out-and-back.
-

-
Start/end point: just inside the entrance to Endcliffe Park.
-
Distance: 11km.
-
Terrain: some sections on road, mostly footpaths and pavements.
As there’ll be no soundwalks in August, I thought we’d go out with a bang and make the most of the longer evenings by doing an out-and-back walk to the Norfolk Arms! We’ll walk out along the Porter Brook, stop for a drink/food midway, before returning through Whiteley Woods and Bingham Park. Lots of interesting sounds to be heard plus a nice social before a month off. As usual, feel free to bring something to document the walk with you.
We should be in sunlight for most of the walk, but I anticipate that the last hour of walking will be after sunset, so please bring a torch/headtorch with you - it’s a gentle walk back, the footpaths are easy underfoot, and we’ll be as a group, but you are responsible for your own safety. Streetlights will be intermittent, so please bring a torch or borrow one to take with you. I’ll provide printouts with the usual map/prompts!
