collaborative pianist
Tom’s work as collaborative pianist ranges from theatre and choral engagements to more intimate chamber music and solo recitals. He is the regular accompanist of Escafeld Chorale and director of 8-voice choir Octogenesis. Over the pandemic, he recorded remote accompaniments and solo performances of previously unrecorded repertoire for Flip the Stem, a classical music organisation dedicated to popularising history's marginalised composers.
In the theatre, Tom is available to work in many capacities: musical director, rehearsal/audition pianist, copyist, vocal coach, and keyboard programmer. He has worked for several regional theatres including Sheffield Theatres (most recently Copyist on Little Shop of Horrors, 2024), Leeds Playhouse, and Bolton Octagon, in addition to several uncredited roles with other productions.
