collaborative pianist
Tom’s work as collaborative pianist ranges from theatre and choral engagements to more intimate chamber music and solo recitals. He is the regular accompanist of Escafeld Chorale and director of 16-voice choir Octogenesis. Over the pandemic, he recorded remote accompaniments and solo performances of previously unrecorded repertoire for Flip the Stem, a classical music organisation dedicated to popularising history's marginalised composers.
In the theatre, Tom’s versatility leads him to work in many capacities: musical director, rehearsal/audition pianist, copyist, vocal coach, and keyboard programmer. He has worked for several leading regional theatres including Sheffield Theatres (most recently Copyist on A Christmas Carol, 2025), Leeds Playhouse, and Bolton Octagon, in addition to several uncredited roles with other regional and West End productions (recent highlights include Jesus Christ Superstar, London Palladium 2026; Manic Street Creature, Kiln Theatre 2026; Riot Women (TV), 2025; The Devil Wears Prada, Dominion Theatre 2024)
